FINALLY!!!

Devin finally took home the hardware. After fighting off Cubby for a place in the championship round Devin showed he's ready to play with the "Big Dawgs". Here's how he reacted in his photoshoot with the trophy.

Tryin' to pose like he belongs on the trophy or something.

Not sure what he's doing here!?

Since Devin's never been to the promised land he had to think about how he wanted to pose with the hardware. It's not rocket science Devin. Hopefully if he ever returns to glory he won't be overwhelmed at actually winning!;)

Baby Blankets for Kayleigh & Olivia

This week for youth group we did something a little different than usually. As you've read in my last post, the Jr. High kids and the little kids in the church made cards to send to Olivia & Kaliegh. Well, I figured that you can't just send cards without a gift. So the High School kids with a little help from Aubrey and Grandma Swisher, made baby blankets for the girls. I am very pleased at the way these young kids jumped right in and came up with a couple of great ideas for blankets. I am thankful at how these kids are really embracing the idea of helping and supporting two little girls that they've never met. It shows me how much these kids care and want to get involved. I thank God for the group of kids that I have. I hope that this is an example of how they will grow in their faith and people will realize what we are all about here at CrossRoads. Thanks guys, you did an awesome job.

W-N-W...making cards for Kayleigh & Olivia

Our Wednesday night kids got together and made cards for 2 little girls that were born back in June of last year. Both girls were very premature and have been in the hospital since. I took it upon myself to do something special for these 2 little girls. So the kids all made get well soon cards for them.
The girls' names are Olivia Moore and Kayleigh Freeman. Olivia is the grand-daughter of Vick and Debbie Moore who are members at CrossRoads. Kayleigh is a little girl who lives in Charlotte, NC. Olivia and Kayleigh have a lot in common, they both are calling the hospital home for now. The only difference is that Kayleigh has had about 5 operations since she was born. Both are tough little girls and are testimonies to the miracles that God gives us each and every day.
So if you would like to help out please, I encourage you, to write a letter to Olivia and one to Kayleigh. Just drop them by my office and I'll make sure that the girls get them.
Please continue to pray each and every day for these 2 little girls.
