The CHRISTmas spirit

So Miles and Jennifer Clark have this ginormous (gigantic for those of you who don't speak Brian) tree in their front yard. Jennifer has hinted to Miles that she would like to have it decorated with lights for Christmas this year. Miles being the same kind of guy that I am, just said yeah whatever. But if you saw this tree and how big it really is, you would understand where Miles is coming from here. So to give Jennifer a deocrated house for the Christmas season, my wife, Aubrey, and I along with the youth group decided we were going to sneak over to their house while they were at Sunday night Bible study and decorate the outside of their house a little bit. Needless to say they both just laughed when they pulled up to their house. I just hope that Miles finds someone to come over and take those things down. Here are a few pictures from the lighting of the Clark Tree!!!

Devin trying to figure out how to untangle those lights. Good luck buddy!
Tyler and Anderson Reynolds and Brandi Long are trying to figure something out. I'm not sure exactly what that something is though.

Ben Brumett and Dustin Simpson trying to figure those lights out.

Yes Ben, they go on the tree.

"Outlet"

"Outlet" is our Wendesday-Night-Worship bible study we have for our Jr. High and High School students. This is a time where we dig into the Word of God and relate it to our everyday trials and situations that we face.

Our services on Wednesdays start at 6 p.m. and usually last about and hour or so. "Outlet" is available to all students from 5th - 12th grades. We hope that you would come and join us, but be prepared to be challenged and changed by the Word of God.

"Revolution"

"Revolution" is our high school youth group at CrossRoads Christian Church. We meet every Sunday night at 6 pm. We hang out, eat (AWESOME!!!), have a weekly ping-pong tournament (with traveling trophy) and MOST IMPORTANT we have great fellowship. We are getting ready to start a series of lessons on "Friends". It is going to be intense and make us take a look at who are friends really are and what they do for us.

We have come a long way in a couple of years. What started out as about 5 kids has grown to about 15 to 20 depending on the night. Hopefully we continue to grow and see new faces each week.

If you have any questions feel free to email me at bcarpenter@crossroadsofdanville.com. You can also check out our fan page on facebook by clicking the 4:12 Revolution logo.

CIY-Knoxville, TN

This year we decided to take a road trip for CIY. We made a voyage and I mean a voyage to Knoxville, TN to the Johnson Bible College campus. We couldn't have asked for a better week. God truly was working in wonderful ways. Not only were we challenged by God to become better "Kingdom Workers", but we grew closer as a group. Thanks to all the kids for helping Aubrey and I out with our 3 little monkeys.
